Bill is one of the few New Horizons Instructors world-wide to have earned the top-level CISSP security credential. He has been recognized as one of the top 25 Technical Instructors (of the nearly 1700 instructors worldwide) at New Horizons six times over! Bill has been instructing for New Horizons for over 25 years, while also delivering industrial IT consulting and electronic product development.
Bill specializes in Computer Hardware, Software and Networking subjects at New Horizons Computer Learning Centers. Bill helped introduce CompTIA A+ to New Horizons in 1996, providing New Horizons’ first development of A+ courses and labs. He later assisted in expanding CompTIA offerings at New Horizons to include Server+, Security+, iNet+ and Certified Advanced Security Practitioner. He has also earned 27 Microsoft certifications, as well as certifications from Cisco, ISC2, Lean-Six Sigma and Certified Internet Webmaster.
Bill graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a BA-Physics degree in route to duty as a US Navy Helicopter Aircraft Commander, deploying twice to the Persian Gulf. As a civilian, he earned nine FAA Pilot and Mechanic ratings, leading to Analyst and Total Quality Management Systems Instructor duty at Douglas Aircraft Company, then Associate Professor at Northrop University. With a Computer Electronics degree and an FCC license, Bill has created and delivered electronics and radio communications classes for New Horizons.
